A pair of Aberdeen Central hurdlers lowered their season-best times this past week during the final week of the Class AA track and field leaders.

Kyson Fayant bettered his state-record time in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles with a clocking of :37.77, while Mya Arampatzis ran a season best :14.36 in the 100-meter hurdles this past week.

Also, the Central girls moved into fourth place in the 400-meter relay.

Other Golden Eagles in the girls’ leaders are Taryn Hermansen who leads the shot put, Paige Ewalt who is fourth in the discus, Catelynn Weig who is fifth in the 100 hurdles, Breckan Santjer who is eighth in the pole vault, Espynn Kuhfeld who is eighth in the 300 hurdles, and the 800-meter relay team which is sixth.

Other Golden Eagles in the boys’ leaders are Jack Bertsch who is first in the discus followed by teammate Brenner Waldrop who is sixth, Carter Lust who is eighth in the 100, the 400-meter relay team which is sixth, and the 800-meter relay team which is eighth.
