Braun turns in top final round on way to third place finish

MESA, Ariz. – Olivia Braun shot a 70 on Monday during the final round of the Phoenix Junior Open at Toka Stick Golf Club in Mesa. It was the lowest round of the day in the girls’ 14-18 division and propelled the Aberdeen Central senior to a third-place finish in the tourney.

Braun finished the 54-hole event with a score of 224, eight strokes off the pace of tournament winner, Regan Dusenbery of Wichita, Kan.

Braun opened the tourney with a 72, before shooting an 82 on Sunday. Her two-under-par 70 on Monday was two strokes better than the next best golfer in the division.
