The Aberdeen Wings overcame an early two-goal deficit to record a 5-3 win over the Bismarck Bobcats in NAHL hockey Friday night at the Odde Ice Center.

The Wings scored three straight goals to start the second period. Owen Pitters found the back of the net first, before Matthew Martin scored back-to-back goals to put Aberdeen in front.

After Bismarck tied the game later in the period, Aberdeen produced two more goals in the third period to finish off the victory. Cooper Anderson and Taven James scored the final two goals of the contest.

Easton Edwards had a pair of assists for the Wings.

Aberdeen outshot the Bobcats by a 31-29 margin.

The victory allowed the Wings to edge closer to Bismarck in the Central Division standings. Aberdeen is now just three points behind the Bobcats, and seven points behind division leading Austin.

The Wings and Bobcats are back on the ice again this evening with puck drop set for 7:15 at the Odde.
