Minnesota State remains unbeaten in win over NSU

MANKATO, Minn. – A record-setting night for a Minnesota State player helped the Mavericks remain undefeated with an 81-52 women’s college basketball win over Northern State Friday night.

Natalie Bremer became Minnesota State’s all-time leading scorer with 2,073 points after scoring 22 points during the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victory.

The Mavericks, 19-0 on the season, jumped out to an 11-0 lead on the way to a 21-10 first-quarter lead. The Wolves never recovered. NSU committed 38 turnovers in the contest, which led to 41 points for Minnesota State.

Reserves Reagan Rus, Telia Graham, and Makenzie Carrier topped Northern with 11 points apiece. Graham also hauled down eight rebounds.

The Wolves, 10-9 overall and 5-8 in NSIC action, play at St. Cloud State at 2 this afternoon.
