Numerous members of the Aberdeen Swim Club had solid performances at the recently concluded High Point Indoor Swim Meet at the Aberdeen Family Y.
Stingrays coach Darien Street was pleased with the accomplishments of his swimmers.
“Kids did amazing this weekend across the board. Combating fast turnover times for events and a warm pool, kids really rallied their attitudes and swims as a whole and focused on their turns and under-waters,” Street said. “Keeping themselves able to take corrections and being very responsive to how they felt during their swims a whole.”
Street was also pleased that the ASC members were able to communicate their thoughts on their overall performances.
“I’m very proud of the kids’ ability to vocalize what they felt like they liked, disliked, and wanted to change in their races through the whole weekend,” Street said. “Even though we didn’t see everyone end the weekend with PR’s, a majority were faster than they were last year at this time which is always a good sign and a positive note for kids that may have been disappointed with not getting a PR.”
