RAPID CITY – Aberdeen Central’s Cole Brust is tied for 24th following the opening round of the State AA Golf Tournament Monday at Meadow Brook Golf Course in Rapid City.
Brust, who finished runner-up at last week’s Eastern South Dakota Conference Tournament, fired a 79 to lead the Golden Eagles, who shot a team score of 341.
Central’s Jackson Ravellette is tied for 42nd with an 82.
Harrisburg leads the team standings.
O’Gorman’s Taten Mauney is the individual leader after shooting a 68 for a four-stroke advantage on the field.
