Wings conclude Showcase with win over Fairbanks

BLAINE, Minn. – The Aberdeen Wings received goals from five different players in a 5-2 win over the Fairbanks Ice Dogs during the NAHL Showcase in Blaine on Saturday.

The Wings went 2-1 during the event and are now 4-1 on the season.

Aberdeen scored three goals in the second period and two more in the third. Brody Dustin, Zan Spari-Leben, Sam Scheetz, Matthew Martin, and Charlie Burchfield each found the back of the net for the Wings.

Aberdeen outshot the Ice Dogs by a 32-17 margin.

William Braun recorded 15 saves in goal for the Wings.

The Wings will host St. Cloud on Friday and Saturday at the Odde Ice Center. Puck drops at 7:15 p.m. each game.
