Wings open season with 6-1 win over Watertown

The Aberdeen Wings pulled away from a 1-1 tie after the first period and skated to a 6-1 win over the Watertown Shamrocks to open their North American Hockey League season at the Odde Ice Center Friday night.

Jack McDonough scored the first goal and the final goal for the Wings, who produced four other goals between those scores.

Aberdeen also received goals from Sam Scheetz, Zan Spari-Leban, Jonathan Doucette, and Anthony Ciaramitro.

Adam Dybal collected 20 saves in goal for the Wings.

The same teams are back at it again tonight in Watertown.
