Brust records top 25 finish at Yankton Invitational

YANKTON – Aberdeen Central’s Cole Brust finished in a tie for 22nd during the Yankton Invitational Golf Tournament on Friday.

Brust shot a round of 81 to lead the Golden Eagles, who finished 12th in the team standings with a 343.

O’Gorman won the team championship with a total of 299, led by medalist Jayden Antonen who shot a blistering 5-under-par 67 to top the field by six strokes.

Central’s Maddox Dinger tied for 44th with an 85, and Kalen Larson tied for 57th with an 87.

Other Golden Eagle golfers included Jackson Ravelette who shot a 90, Ridgly Wasem who had a 92, and Easton Kludt who finished with a 96.

Central will compete at the Brookings Invitational on Monday.
