SIOUX FALLS – Aberdeen’s Olivia Braun shot a 71 on Thursday to vault past the field and win the Girls’ Division championship at the Sanford Futures Tour golf event at The Falls Golf Course.
Braun entered the day tied for seventh following an open round of 78. However, she closed strong and finished with a 36-hole total of 149, one stroke better than runner-up Rylan Horning of Rapid City.
Brynn Roehrich of Watertown, who competes for Clark-Willow Lake, owned a slim lead after the opening 18 holes and finished third with a two-day score of 151. Miller’s Jayce Pugh was fourth with a 152.
