SPEARFISH – Olivia Braun of Aberdeen, and Jonathan DeBoer of Twin Brooks both finished runner-up at the Sanford International Series event at Spearfish Canyon Golf Course on Thursday.
Braun, who plays for Aberdeen Central, ended with a 36-hole total of 153 after firing a second round 76. Rapid City’s Kaitlin Strain, who competes for St. Thomas More, won the event with a two-day total of 149.
Claire Crawford, who plays for Aberdeen Roncalli, finished ninth with a 36-hole score of 179.
DeBoer, who competes for Milbank, finished in a three-way tie following 36 holes with a score of 147. Jayden Antonen of Sioux Falls, and Parker Reede of Spearfish, also had totals of 147.
Antonen won the title on a playoff hole. DeBoer finished second, and Reede third.

Other area golfers included Gavin Colson of Onida, who plays of Sully Buttes, who finished sixth with a total of 155, and Cole Brust of Aberdeen, who competes for Central, who finished 26th with a total of 176.
