ELKTON – The Flandreau boys and Elkton-Lake Benton girls won team championships during the Region 1A track and field meet on Wednesday.
Hamlin’s Gracelyn Leiseth won both the shot put and discus. She broke her own state record in the shot put with a throw of 49-feet 3 1/4-inches.
Deuel’s Ricky Berndt was a double individual winner in the boys’ division, winning the 800 and 3,200.
