RAPID CITY – Area golfers finished in the top 10 during the Sanford International Series West that concluded Tuesday at Meadowbrook in Rapid City.
Wolsey’s Larz Tvedt finished runner-up in the boys’ division with a 36-hole total of 151. Aberdeen’s Harper Schnabel took seventh with a two-day score of 153. Trevor Rick of Sioux Falls won the tourney with a score of 148, which included a round of 71 on Tuesday.
In the girls’ division, Watertown’s Brynn Roehrich, who competes for Clark-Willow Lake during the school year, finished sixth with a total of 162. Aberdeen’s Claire Crawford took 10th with a 174. Selby’s Taryn Hettick was 11th, also with a 174. Ari Jacobs of Sioux Falls, runner-up in this year’s Class AA state tournament, won the event with a two-day score of 149, which included a round of 69 on Tuesday.
