Milbank scored 161.5 points to win the boys’ title with Deuel runner-up. CWL finished with 198 points to take the girls’ crown with Milbank finishing second.

Milbank’s Sam Rick won the long jump and the triple jump, while teammate Harley Zemlicka won the 110-meter high hurdles and 300-meter intermediate hurdles.

Other two open event winners for boys were Groton’s Keegen Tracy who won the 200 and 400, and Jayden Schwan who won the 1,600 and 3,200, and Webster’s Matthew Mount who won the shop put and javelin.

Clark-Willow Lake’s Nevaeh Reitz won the 100 and 200, and teammate Kamryn Nesheim won the 800 and 1,600. Reitz also ran on the first place 400-meter relay team.

Groton’s McKenna Tietz had a hand in four victories on the day, winning both hurdles races, and running on winning 800 and 1,600 relay squads.

Aberdeen Roncalli won the girls’ medley relay. Team members were Bailey Nold, Kadince Glynn, Hazel Kannegieter, and Addison Cassady.

“One of the highlights on the day was some girls’ relays, medley and 4X4” said Roncalli co-coach Mark Stone. “Both teams ran very well and are now in the top 24. Girls on those relays are Kadince, Addie, Hazel, Taylor McComsey, and Bailey Nold.”

The Cavaliers also had some strong performances on the boys’ side led by Quinten Shelton, who finished second in the triple jump.

“Quinten went 41-7 in the triple. Ben Keller and some of the distance runners had a good day,” Stone said. “We’re proud of their efforts and improvements.”

Roncalli will compete at a last chance meet in Warner on Monday.
