SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – The Aberdeen Cougars scored in every period en route to a 4-2 girls’ hockey win over the Sioux Center Storm on Saturday.

“The girls came out and played another complete game of hockey,” said Aberdeen coach Amy Munsterman-Wills. “There was a lot of movement and we created great opportunities in front of the net.”

Leah Kranzler scored a pair of goals for the Cougars, and an assisted on another.

Rachel Siefken scored Aberdeen’s first goal, and Addyson Keller, who had pair of assists, also found the back of the net. The Cougars finished with 37 shots on goal.

“We had some nice shots, were there for the rebounds,” Munsterman-Wills said, “and our lines did a great job establishing a strong presence in front of the net today.”

Chloe Vikander collected 25 saves in goal for the Cougars.

“Another strong performance by Chloe to help keep us in it,” Munsterman-Wills said. “Overall, it was a solid team effort.”

The Cougars are back in action today in a game at Sioux Falls.
