Golden Eagles finish eighth at Pierre Invitational

PIERRE – Aberdeen Central had five golfers all within two strokes of each other on the way to an eighth-place finish in team points at the Pierre Invitational Golf Tournament on Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles finished with a team total of 318. Watertown won the team crown by two strokes over Brandon Valley with a score of 290. Everett Morrison of Mitchell was the medalist by a one shot with a 69.

Central had a tight pack of golfers on the day. Maddox Dinger was 25th, Jackson Ravellette was 26th, and Kalen Larson was 29th, all with rounds of 79. Easton Kludt was 35th, and Cole Brust was 37th, both with scores of 81.

Ridgley Wasem rounded out the Central golfers with a total of 88.

The Golden Eagles will compete at the Huron Invitational on Thursday.
