SIOUX FALLS – Aberdeen Central had a tough time finishing off sets in a non-conference volleyball setback to O’Gorman Monday night.
The Golden Eagles were swept by scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-14 by the third-rated Knights.
“We competed hard for the first two sets,” said Central coach Jackie Bindenagel. “We served well and got them out of system, but had a few too many miscues at unfortunate times. We let them go on some serving runs and that was the difference in each set.”
Alivia Miller had five of Central’s six aces on the evening to go along with 10 assists and nine digs.
Kenadi Withers led the Eagles with eight kills. Taylin Kleffman contributed 18 digs and an ace serve.
Central, 7-4 on the season, is back in action on Thursday when it plays host to Brandon Valley in an Eastern South Dakota Conference match.
