Central tied for 12th at State AA golf tourney

WATERTOWN – Aberdeen Central shot a score of 318 and is tied for 12th place following the opening round of the Class AA State Golf Tournament at Cattail Crossing in Watertown.

Watertown leads the team points with a 282, five strokes better than Pierre.

Watertown’s Ty Lenards leads the individual golfers after a blistering 6-under-par round of 66. There are three other golfers three strokes off the pace.

The Golden Eagles were led by Cole Brust who is tied for 26th following a round of 76. Teammate Jackson Ravellette is tied for 35th just one stroke back at 77. Carter Blanchard is 49th heading into today’s final round with a 79.

Other Central golfers include Ben Phillips who is tied for 80th with an 86, and Kalen Larson and Kyler Senger who are tied for 89th with rounds of 88.
