The Aberdeen Central girls can be found in nine events in this week’s Class AA track and field leaders.
The Golden Eagles are led by Taryn Nieman, who continues to have the second-best throw in the discus. Madison Hochstetter is third in the triple jump, while Taryn Hermansen is fourth in the shot put.
Central has three girls in the 100 hurdles: Ciara Frank is sixth, Mya Arampatzis is seventh, and Hochstetter is eighth. Frank and Hochstetter are tied for sixth in the high jump.
The Golden Eagles are seventh in numerous other events: Gracie Rife in the 100-meter dash, Breckan Santjer tied in the pole vault, Frank tied in the long jump, and Jaidyn Forsyth in the triple jump. The Central 800-meter relay team is also seventh.

In the Class AA boys, Central’s David Van Veen has the sixth best time in the 3,200-meter run, and Jack Bain and Brendan Phillips are tied for sixth in the high jump.
The Golden Eagles are eighth in the 1,600-meter relay.
