YANKTON – Aberdeen Central’s Peyton Brust earned a top-25 finish at the Eastern South Dakota Conference Golf Tournament at Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton on Monday.
Brust finished in an eight-way tie for 22nd place with a score of 80 to lead the Golden Eagles.
Harrisburg’s Hayden Scott won the individual title with a score of 68, two strokes ahead of Harrisburg’s Parker Schultz and Watertown’s Jake Olson, who tied for second place with scores of 70. Watertown golfers Jaden Solheim and Kaden Rylance tied for fourth place with scores of 71.
Other Central golfers included Carter Blanchard finishing 39th with a score of 85, Cole Brust finishing 42nd with a score of 87, Kyler Senger and Jackson Ravellette tying for 43rd with score of 88, and Qunicy Madsen tying for 48th with a score of 91.
In team standings, the Golden Eagles finished in eighth place with a score of 340. Watertown won the team title with a score of 284 and four-under par, two strokes ahead of Harrisburg (286). Brandon Valley (303), Pierre (305), and Brookings (315) rounded out the top five.
Central will now gear up for the State AA golf meet next Monday and Tuesday at the Brandon Golf Course in Brandon.
