
EUREKA – Selby Area siblings Tray and Taryn Hettick won medalist honors during the Yellowstone Trail Conference golf tournament on Thursday.
Tray, a senior, shot a 73 to win the boys’ title by eight strokes. Taryn, an eighth-grader, shot a 90 to edge teammate Maize Baumann by a single stroke, helping to power Selby Area to the girls’ team crown.
Eureka’s Katelyn Engelhart and Sully Buttes’ Berkley Birney tied for third place with a score of 95, while Potter County’s Olivia Mikkelsen (96) rounded out the top five.
On the boys’ side Gavin Colson of Sully Buttes finished in second place with a score of 81 to help lead the Chargers to the boys’ team title. Thomas Farries of Sully Buttes and Edmunds Central’s Cole Bukaske tied for third with a score of 85, while Edmunds Central’s Seth Hettick rounded out the top five with a score of 87.
