The majority of the Aberdeen Central track and field athletes had just one meet since last week’s leaders, however, the Golden Eagles made the most of their opportunities.
A pair of girls are now among the Class AA leaders after season-best throws in the discus at the Al Sahli Invitational.
Grace Kuch is fifth following a throw of 116-feet, 7-inches, while Taryn Nieman is sixth with a mark of 115-9.
Several Central boys also had top performances at the Sahli meet.
Drew Salfrank moved his 400-meter dash time under 50 seconds, clocking a :49.99. He is currently third among the leaders. Carter Dingman also lowered his time and is seventh in that event.
Tyler Bain improved his height in the high jump by clearing 6-feet 1-inch at the Sahli meet and is currently sixth.
Central’s 800-meter relay team clocked a season-best time of 1:30.85 which is the fourth fastest in the class this spring.
Ciara Frank continues to lead a pair of open events, topping the high jump and the long jump. Taryn Hermansen is sescond in the shot put. Regan Lust is tied for fifth in the high jump.

Aiden Heimann is second in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles and fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles.
Brian Johnson is seventh in the discus, while the 1,600-meter relay squad is second.
