Central wins one more at Fargo tournament

The Aberdeen Central volleyball program wrapped up its stay at the Scheels Invitational Saturday in Fargo, N.D. Central fell to Fargo North 25-21, 28-26, defeated Fargo Shanley 19-25, 25-14, 15-7, and lost to Fargo South 25-18, 25-20. The Golden Eagles were aggressive from the service line throughout the day, recording 25 total aces in the three matches, including 10 in the opening loss to Fargo North. Sydney Evans led the way in that effort, recording four aces against North and six total. Senior hitter Grace Kuch finished with 22 kills on the day, including 11 against Fargo North. Lauryn Burckhard tallied 15, and Leah Gough had 13. “We had some tight matches against some tough Fargo schools,” said Central coach Jackie Bindenagel. “We did some really good things, but we know our list of improvements is still there.
