Brust among top 10 at State AA golf tournament

MITCHELL – Aberdeen Central’s Peyton Brust is tied for ninth following the opening day of the Class AA State Golf Tournament in Mitchell on Monday.

The junior shot a round of 76 helping to lead the Golden Eagles to a 10th place spot in the team standings with a 328. His brother, Cole Brust, is tied for 40th after shooting an 82.

Other Central golfers had Quincy Madsen with an 84, Rylan Dykema with an 86, and Carter Blanchard with an 88.

Harrisburg leads the team standings by eight strokes over Pierre. Harrisburg’s Riley Christensen is the opening-round leader with a 68, with teammates Hayden Scott tied for second with a 70, and Parker Schultz tied for fourth with a 71.
