Class B Track and Field Leaders

Sisters Jessica and Ella Boekelheide had a big day at the Dwight Kinney Invitational on Tuesday and the results are evident in this week’s Class B track and field leaders.

Jessica Boekelheide now owns the top time in the class in the 400-meter dash, while Ella Boekelheide took over the top spot in the 1,600-meter run. The duo also helped push the team’s 1,600-meter relay squad to the top of the field. Other members of that team are Ella Haven and Ashley Haven.

Jessica Boekelheide is also third in the 100 and 200, while Ella Boekelheide is fourth in the 800 and 3,200.

Ipswich’s Marley Guthmiller is now first in the pole vault. She is the defending state champion in the event.

Morgan Sumption of Frederick is second in the 800 and third in the 1,600, while Katelyn Schroeder is second in the triple jump.

Aberdeen Roncalli’s Morgan Fiedler is fourth in the 100, and sixth in the 200, long jump and triple jump. Teammate Ella Ulmer is third in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles.

Ipswich’s Ty Kadlec is second in the 200, fifth in the 100 and a key member on some Ipswich relay squads. The Tigers have the second best time in the 400 and 800 meter relays.

Aberdeen Roncalli’s Maddox May is second in the 300 hurdles, while teammate Jayden Munroe is third in the triple jump and fifth in the 200. The Cavaliers have the second best time in the 1,600-meter relay.

Brenden Begeman of Herreid-Selby Area is second in the shot put and fourth in the triple jump. Hunter Niederbaumer of Faulkton is third in the 800 and seventh in the 1,600. Carter Geditz of Ipswich is tied for third in the 110-meter high hurdles and seventh in the 300 hurdles.

Frederick has the second best time in the 3,200 relay and third best time in the 1,600 relay.
