Ipswich and Northwestern athletes can be found near the top of multiple events in this week’s Class B track and field leaders.
In the boys’ division Ty Kadlec of Ipswich is second in the 200-meter dash, Carter Geditz is third in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles, Zach Geditz is third in the discus, Colby Sylte is fifth in the long jump, while on the girls’ side Marley Guthmiller is tied for first in the pole vault.
Northwestern is led by Ella Boekelheide who has the top times in the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter runs. Jessica Boekelheide is third in the 100 and 200, and second in the 400.
Other top individual performers in the boys’ division include Warner’s Peyton Jung who is second in the 400, Aberdeen Roncalli’s Maddox May who is second in the 300 hurdles, Brenden Begeman of Herreid-Selby Area who is second in the shot put and fourth in the triple jump, and Roncalli’s Jayden Munroe who is third in the triple jump and sixth in the 200.
Other top individuals for girls include Hitchcock-Tulare’s Katelynn Schroeder who is second in the triple jump, Potter County’s Emma Schlachter who is third in the 800, Roncalli’s Morgan Fiedler who is third in the long jump, fourth in the 100 and triple jump, and seventh in the 200, and Morgan Sumption of Frederick who is third in the 1,600 and sixth in the 800.
The Aberdeen Christian can be found in two events this week. Abe Kretchman is seventh in the long jump, while the Knights have the sixth best time in the girls’ 400-meter relay.
