WATERTOWN – The Aberdeen Wings had 18 more shots than Watertown, but fell to the Shamrocks 3-1 in NAHL hockey action Saturday night to split their weekend series.

Watertown scored first in the opening period before the Wings answered about 90 seconds later when David Hruby scored his second goal in as many games, finding the back of the net with assists from Jonathan Doucette and Grant McGee.

The Shamrocks then scored in the first three minutes of the third period to regain the lead and added an empty netter in the last minute for the final margin of difference.

Aberdeen outshot Watertown 40-22. Willum Braun finished with 19 saves in goal for the Wings.

Aberdeen hosts Watertown next Saturday at the Odde Ice Center. Puck drop is set for 7:15 p.m.
