CLEAR LAKE – Aberdeen Roncalli put four runners in the top 14 places on the way to winning the girls’ team championship during the Deuel Invitational cross country meet on Monday afternoon.
The Cavaliers were led by Addison Cassady with a third place finish. Taylor McComsey took eighth, while Hazel Kannegieter and Hannah Eskro finished 10th and 14th, respectively.
Clark-Willow Lake’s Kamryn Nesheim won the girls’ race in a time of 19:19.33.
Ryder Graff of Sisseton topped the boys’ field in a clocking of 16:58.78, with Castlewood’s Nolan Edison finishing runner-up.
Deuel won the team title.
Roncalli was led by Ben Weigel who finished eighth, and Cole Feickert who was 16th.
