Last year on May 10, 2025: Harrison Krajewski set the Yankton career record for boys’ tennis wins at 109. Harrison is the younger brother of ParaOlympic badminton silver medalist Miles Krajewski.

10 years ago on May 13-15, 2016: Former Britton-Hecla standout Kelsey Barrett of USD won the 10,000 and 5,000 meters at the Summit League Track Championships in Vermillion.

20 years ago on May 13, 2006: Adam Booth of Wanblee won the Brookings Marathon in 2:36.20.

30 years ago on May 14, 1996: Sioux Falls native Sarah Comstock led the New Mexico women’s golf team into the national tournament.

40 years ago on May 10, 1986: Moorhead defeated host Northern State to win its fifth straight conference men’s track title. Dragon coach Ron Masanz, retiring after his 26th conference title, was named conference coach of the year.

50 years ago on May 15, 1976: Mike Fisher and Darrell Schmidt of Redfield were four-event winners at the South Dakota Special Olympics State Track and Field Meet.
