BISMARCK, N.D. – The Aberdeen Wings defeated Bismarck 4-1 in NAHL hockey action Saturday night to cap a key sweep over the Bobcats. The Wings still trail Bismarck in the Central Division standings, but gained three points over the weekend, including a shootout win on Friday.

Aberdeen scored four unanswered goals – three in the second period – after the Bobcats scored the opening goal on Saturday.

Caden Lee tied the game, before Brody Dustin found the back of the net with 8:17 left on an assist from Gavin Reed. Easton Edwards added an insurance goal with 1:45 remaining in the second period on an assist from Dustin.

The only scoring in the final period was a Dustin empty-netter in the closing seconds.

Bismarck outshot the Wings by a 37-24 margin, but Adam Dybal stopped 36 shots on the evening.

The Wings have a rare Tuesday contest at Watertown to face the Shamrocks on St. Patrick’s Day.
