Central boys face West Central in State A dual opener

PIERRE – Aberdeen Central heads into the Class A State Dual Wrestling Tournament as the second seed on Friday. The Golden Eagles will face seventh-seeded West Central at 12:30 p.m. in the opening round of the tourney in Pierre.

Defending State A Dual Champion Sturgis is the top-seeded team. Action gets underway at 11 a.m.

The semifinals are set for around 2 p.m., and the final round for approximately 3:30 p.m.

The State B Dual Tournament will take place on Saturday. Winner is the top seed in that event, with defending state champion Canton seeded second.

Opening pairings in Class A have Sturgis against eighth-seeded Rapid City Central, fourth-seeded Watertown against fifth-seeded Pierre, Central against West Central, and third-seeded Brandon Valley against sixth-seeded Harrisburg.

First-round pairings in Class B have Winner against eighth-seeded Tri-Valley, fourth-seeded Bon Homme-Avon vs. fifth-seeded Kingsbury County, Canton vs. seventh-seeded Parkston, and third-seeded Kimball-White Lake-Platte-Geddes against sixth-seeded Custer.
