CLEAR LAKE – Joey Ries threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Emmerson Larson in the fourth quarter to lift Clark-Willow Lake to a 20-14 win over Deuel in a clash between Class 11B football powers Friday night. Both were receiving votes in the latest poll.

Ries finished with 209 yards passing and a pair of TDs, as the Cyclones improved to 5-1 on the season. Larson also ran for a score.

Aiden Sievers passed for 127 yards and two touchdowns for Deuel, which fell for the first time in six games. Gavin Kloos rushed for 185 yards.
