GARRETSON – Groton scored three second-half goals to dispatch Garretson 4-0 in girls’ soccer action on Tuesday. The contest had a 40-minute late start because of lightning.

When action started, Groton wasted no time in providing its own strike. The Tigers scored in the sixth minute of action when Jerica Locke’s throw-in found McKenna Tietz in the penalty area. Tietz then passed the ball to Ryelle Gilbert who tapped it into the net.

Tietz then scored a goal of her own in the second half, before Locke scored back-to-back goals for the final margin of difference.

Jaedyn Penning had five saves in goal for the Tigers.
