Sioux Falls Jefferson has taken over the top spot in Class 11AAA in this week’s Prep Media football polls. The Cavaliers defeated last week’s top team Brandon Valley this past weekend.
There was also a bit of movement in Class 9AA where Platte-Geddes climbed three spots to second. Hamlin moved up one spot to third. Sully Buttes inched up from fourth to third in Class 9A.
Other area teams retained their previous positions. Deuel and Clark-Willow Lake are second and third, respectively, in Class 11B. Warner and Hitchcock-Tulare are third and fifth, respectively, in Class 9B. They will square off Friday night in Warner.
Area teams receiving votes include Waubay-Summit and Britton-Hecla in Class 9AA.
