Groton boys battle way to soccer draw

GROTON – It wasn’t a win, but it was definitely progress for the Groton boys’ soccer team on Saturday.

The Tigers and Freeman-Marion-Parker-Viborg-Hurley ended up in a 4-4 tie. Groton lost to the same foe 9-2 late last month.

Ethan Kroll scored three goals for Groton for the second straight game. He also assisted on the other goal, scored by Ryder Schwan.

TC Schuster finished with 10 saves in goal for the Tigers.

Groton plays at undefeated James Valley Christian on Thursday.
