BRANDON – Aberdeen Central could not find a way around Brandon Valley Saturday afternoon, falling in straight sets to the Lynx by set scores of 25-20, 25-18 and 25-21 in an Eastern South Dakota Conference volleyball contest.

The Golden Eagles managed just 19 kills on 89 attempts, but still managed to push the Lynx late in individual matches.

“Brandon was big at the net and we had some struggles hitting around them today,” said Central coach Jackie Bindenagel. “As the match went on, our passing improved.”

Senior Lauryn Burckhard finished with six kills and three blocks for the Golden Eagles. Alivia Miller totaled five kills, six assists and a service ace in the win.

Central, 7-3 on the season, will head to Tea Area on Thursday.
