The opening night of the Dacotah Rumble at Brown County Speedway was cut short because of the weather. No feature races were held, but there was still plenty of action that took place.

In the Midwest Modifieds, Huron’s Nick Perry won the first heat race, Todd Stark of Watertown took the win in the second heat race and Selby’s Dawson Zabel won the third heat race.

Street Stock heat winners included Kyle Bertram of Dallas, Jodie Michaelsohn of Aberdeen, Matt Goth of Huron, and Justin Vogel of Brooten, Minn.

Tyler Anglin of Aberdeen and Zach Reinke of Libson, N.D., took wins in the Legends heat races.

In the Late Model class, Huron’s Cole Searing had a dominant four-second victory in heat one. Dyllan Ricks of Boyden, Iowa, won the second heat, and Mike Greseth of Harwood, N.D., crossed the finish line first in heat three. Northville’s Thomas Weisgram took the top spot in the fourth heat race, and Trevor Anderson of Watertown got the win in the final heat race.

The last event that took place before the races were halted was the first B Feature for Street Stocks, won by Adam Dehne of Medina, N.D.

There were 37 Late Model drivers on hand. There will be a special 66-lap feature for that division tonight.

Racing will continue this evening with the green flag dropping at 7.
