Groton moved up two positions in Class A in this week’s Prep Media boys’ basketball polls.

The Tigers, 14-4 on the season, inched up from ninth to seventh, and continue to be one of three Northeast Conference squads in the top 10. Clark-Willow Lake is rated third and Hamlin is rated fourth.

There was also some movement in Class B this week as Viborg-Hurley slipped from second to fourth, and De Smet and Freeman each climbed one spot to second and third, respectively. Castlewood remains the top-rated team in Class B.

Aberdeen Christian continues to be rated sixth and Sully Buttes is 10th. Leola-Frederick is in the receiving votes category.

Other number one-rated squads are Sioux Falls Lincoln in Class AA, and West Central in Class A.
