NSU men fall in closing minutes to Wayne State

WAYNE, Neb. – Northern State watched a solid-second half performance slip away as Wayne State rallied for an 86-79 men’s college basketball victory Friday night.

The Wolves led the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest by nine points with six minutes remaining, but were unable to hold off the hosts down the stretch.

NSU received at least nine points from six different players in the game.

James Glynn scored 18 points, followed by Ty Rogers with 14, Marshawn Smith with 13, Nelson Reynolds with 12, Joshua Book with 11, and Benjamin Bowen with nine.

The Wolves, 5-10 overall and 5-4 in the NSIC, play at Augustana this afternoon.
