Wings drop road contest to North Iowa

MASON CITY, Iowa – The Aberdeen Wings suffered their first loss to a Central Division foe this season, falling to North Iowa 3-2 in NAHL hockey action Saturday night. Aberdeen, 9-2 on the young campaign, still leads the division standings.

North Iowa scored three unanswered goals after Easton Edwards put the Wings on top in the opening period. Matthew Martin accounted for a third period goal for Aberdeen.

The Bulls outshot the Wings 29-26.

Aberdeen won Friday night’s contest 8-4 over North Iowa. Owen Pitters had a hat trick in the victory.

The Wings will remain on the road, playing a weekend series at Minot, N.D. this coming week.
