HARRISBURG – Aberdeen Central found the back of the net one time and made it hold up for a 1-0 boys’ soccer win over Harrisburg in Eastern South Dakota Conference game on Tuesday night.

Donovan Kiesow scored the lone goal of the contest late in the first half.

Central goalie Zander Kuhfeld kept the Tigers off the board to help the Golden Eagles preserve the victory.

“Zander made some great saves,” said Central coach Lance Mohr.

Central is now 2-1 on the season. Mohr said there are still things to work on.

“We played hard, but we are still going through growing pains with finding our identity,” he said. “We’re looking to find ways to help our guys find more success in creating chances.”

The Golden Eagles will host Rapid City Central at 5 p.m. Friday, and Rapid City Stevens at 11 a.m. Saturday.

“We’re looking to start building some consistency,” Mohr said.
