Braun falls in quarterfinals of women’s match play

SIOUX FALLS – Aberdeen’s Olivia Braun won her pool and advanced to the quarterfinals of the South Dakota Golf Association Women’s Match Play Tournament on Sunday before falling to the eventual champion.

Braun, who will be senior at Central this fall, went undefeated in her pool before making the final eight golfers. There she fell to McKenzie Mages of Sioux Falls 5 and 3. Mages went on to win the championship defeating Mitchell’s Allison Meyerink 5 and 4.

Jake Olson of Watertown won the men’s division.
