FAULKTON – Redfield Dairy Queen exploded for 18 runs in the first three innings on the way to a 20-3 amateur baseball victory over the Faulkton Hitmen on Tuesday night. Dairy Queen is now 7-0 on the season.
Redfield had 10 hits, six for extra bases, and took advantage of 16 walks and a hit batter in the contest. Dairy Queen scored six runs on bases-loaded walks on the evening.
Dairy Queen put up seven runs in the opening inning and seven in the third, sandwiched around a four-run second frame.
Keaton Rohlfs had a two-run single in the first, Peyton Osborn and Rohlfs both drove in runs in the second, and Bennett Osborn provided a two-run double in the third. Peyton Osborn capped Redfield’s scoring with a two-run double in the fourth.
Rohlfs finished with four RBI, and Peyton Osborn knocked in three for Dairy Queen. Bennett Osborn, Cooper Hainy, and Nolan Gall each plated a pair. Camden Osborn, Brent Osborn, Peyton Osborn, and Rohlfs each had a pair of hits.
Peyton McDonnell had two singles for Faulkton, while Layne Cotton had an RBI double.
