Area golfers qualify for state tourney during Region 3A action

MITCHELL – Chamberlain had the top two golfers on the way to winning the team championship during the Region 3A Girls’ Golf Tournament on Monday.

The Cubs edged Winner by three strokes. Alexis Clark won medalist honors with an 88, two strokes better than teammate Trey Speer.

Mobridge-Pollock ended up qualifying four golfers for the state tournament, despite not being one of the top two teams in the region. Redfield advanced one golfer to state.

Team Points: Chamberlain 393, Winner 396, Mobridge-Pollock 456, Redfield 545.
