YANKTON – The Aberdeen Cougars scored seven unanswered goals to erase a four-goal deficit en route to a 7-4 boys’ hockey win over Yankton on Sunday afternoon.

The win comes on the heels of a win over Yankton on Saturday night.

The Bucks seemed poised for a split of the two games, bolting out to a 4-0 lead with two goals coming within a span of less than a minute to end the first period and start the second.

However, the Cougars totally dominated the rest of the contest with three goals in the second and four more in the third for the victory.

Devon Fischbach got the scoring barrage started with a goal early in the second, followed by goals from Quincy Madsen and Brady Huff to close the deficit down to one.

Aberdeen then continued its momentum in the third with goals from Lance Siefken, Talan Dutenhoeffer, and one more each from Huff and Siefken.
