FAULKTON – Layne Cotton broke two school scoring records in a 77-30 Lake Region Conference boys’ basketball win over Langford Area Friday night.

Cotton scored 52 points to set the new single-game record for points scored, and finished the night with 1,336 career points, one better than Ryan Melius, who had been Faulkton’s all-time scoring leader since 1992.

Cotton also grabbed nine rebounds and collected eight steals as the Trojans improved to 13-4 on the season.

Kalden Golden and Dylan Harmon each scored seven points to lead Langford Area.
