LEOLA – Layne Cotton scored 12 of his game-high 29 points in the fourth quarter as Faulkton handed Leola-Frederick its first loss of the season with a 63-55 Lake Region Conference boys’ basketball victory Thursday night. Cotton made 8 of 10 free throws in the final period. Gian DiMaria added 13 points and Spencer Melius finished with 12 for Faulkton, which improved to 10-3 on the season. Brayden Sumption led a balanced Leola-Frederick attack with 10 points. The Titans, who received at least six points from six different players, slipped to 12-1 on the year.
