MITCHELL – Hamlin nailed a dozen three-point field goals and snapped Dakota Valley’s 62-game winning streak with an 84-62 boys’ basketball victory during the Hanson Classic Saturday night.

Easton Neuendorf had 24 points, Tyson Stevenson followed with 19, Zan VanMeeteren contributed 14, and Evan Stormo added 13 for the Chargers, who improved to 9-2 on the season.

Jaxson Wingert scored a game-high 33 points for Dakota Valley, which was two wins away from tying the all-time state record.
