MITCHELL – Aberdeen Central traded a decision and a fall for another decision and a fall, but came away with a 45-15 Eastern South Dakota Conference girls’ wrestling win over Mitchell Thursday afternoon. The Golden Eagles got a win from Avery Bendewald, who pinned her opponent at 107 pounds. Lilly Nelson then claimed a 10-4 decision at 165 pounds. Mitchell countered with a see-saw battle win at 114 pounds, a match that Central’s Madyson Gillen nearly won, and a fall at 126 pounds. Central then claimed forfeit victories at the remainder of the weight classes, save a double-forfeit at 185 pounds.
