Wolves fall to St. Cloud State in NSIC tourney

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Northern State dropped its opening round match in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Volleyball Tournament in straight sets to St. Cloud State Tuesday night.

The Wolves fell by set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 25-14 to the eighth-ranked Huskies.

The host squad hit .330 with 48 kills on the way to the victory.

Northern was led by Hanna Thompson with 11 kills. Keri Walker contributed 27 set assists, and Abby Meister led the squad with 14 digs.

The Wolves, 19-9, will now wait to see how the remainder of the NSIC tourney shakes out and then the NCAA Division II Selection Show on Monday to see if they will get a berth in the Central Region Tournament.
